This is still to be filled in. Not many questions have yet been asked!
But every good site needs an FAQ, so if this is still pretty empty, and you'd like to know something, drop me a line using the "Contact Us" tab at the top of the page or email me at info@ResonantNetworks.net. Chances are the answer you get back will also be added in here!
Cheers

FAQ's begun - see below [last update: 4-Dec-09]

How does the Feed Aggregator Work?
The Feed Aggregator is a stub at the moment - BUT - go to the absolute bottom of any page in this site and find the orange icon on the left hand side.
This is an RSS Feed subscriber. You can use a number of RSS readers to read the latest posts - or you can Live-Bookmark the feed straight from an icon shortcut on your browser.
How do Messages work? (InMail)
Once you're logged in, you will now have a Menu option called Messages on your Menu stack. This is an internal e-mail in-box where you can share and follow up private email-like discussions - completely between you and the other Resonant Networks networkers.
Simpy look up other users through the "User Profile" menu option, and send mail to their User Name. If you start to type a users name the system should auto-suggest the name. Really neat!
When you log in, you should have an alert panel under the top banner, and there might be a number next to the Messages menu item which will tell you how many unread messages you have.
This can be a really powerful method of collaboration and sharing. The ability to take discussions off-line and really explore stuff is now at your fingertips. Enjoy!
Invite a Friend
This functionality is is still in testing - so please do just that! Test it out! Let me know your experiences - by posting a reply to this blog entry for others to see, or drop me a quick note through email.
The best test might be to send an invite to one of your own alternate e-mail accounts so that you can see what the Invites emails looks like. You'll end up banking up Invites to yourself, which you obviously won't need, so you'll also want to be able to cancel or 'Withdraw' them. You can do this when you're logged on by going to :
My Account> Invitations> Pending> Withdraw.
It's actually easier and more intutive than it looks!
Is there an option to upload photos for a profile?
YES! See next Item ...
File uploads are now turned on.
There are couple of ways to get your files and pictures onto the Resonant Networks Server;
- Click on "My Account" on the right Menu Stack. Once in there. you'll fnd a new button called File Browser. Clicking this will open up a sort-of Explorer window. Hover over the red "Help" and you get pop-up help. Actions like upload Delete etc. are to the right of this Help. Or...
- From the WYSIWYG (see next entry) Rich Text Editor - click on the "Mountains" picture icon. You'll see a "Browse Server" button where you can access your pre-uploaded files. If you haven't yet uploaded what you want from your computer, you can do this from here. It opens the same Explorer-like window described above.
You get a directory specifically with your UserName. Only you will be able to see and access your uploads.
You can also specify "Thumbnails" if you're uploading picture files. This will make another (smaller) copy of your picture, sized according to the Thumbnail size you choose.
Have fun!!
What's a WYSIWYG editor
WYSIWYG stands for "What You See Is What You Get"
Basically this means that you can format text just like in Word or other Word Processing software, including italics, bold, underline and other cool stuff.
This editor is available pretty much throughout this website to help you make your Blogs Stories and Articles more interesting to read.
The background for the WYSIWYG editor is too dark
I seem to be able to get rid of the blue/dark background in the editor by typing in one or two letters and then hitting the refresh button in my browser.
Another tip is to let the page settle for a couple of seconds before you start to type. The dark background is actually the blue underlay 'blanket' which is the core background colour of the site shining through. To create the white text field that makes typing easy to see, the site has to draw a white rectangle in the text-box which can sometimes take a bit of time (seconds).
